This year has been full of changes and adapting. EdCampBCCC was no exception. On January 23rd, we took our learning online for our first virtual edition! For those of you who were able to join us, thank you so much! If you need a reminder, or for those of you didn't make it, you can read through the Google Docs where so many great conversations were captured and resources were shared. While you are there, you can also check out the information from previous years!
We received lots of great feedback from the event that will help us make decisions moving forward. Many people appreciated the online version as travelling in January can be a bit difficult (and costly and less environmentally conscious!). We really appreciated how being virtually allowed a variety of people from around not only BC but also North America, join us. We also really appreciate how parents and teacher candidates participated - your questions help us rethink what we are doing, make us reflect on our practices, and are important in making us all better educators. We hope that through the year you can continue to share around your learnings on the core competencies. The EdCampBCCC community has always received lots of support from the #BCedchat community. You can also join #BCedchat around a variety of topics on Sunday nights at 7pm PST on Twitter and keep learning from each other. Thank you for your support and for being part of our learning community. Janice and Carrie

EdCampBCCC was founded by Janice Novakowski (SD 38) and Carrie Antoniazzi (SD 93) as a place where educators from different School Districts and Educational Settings in British Columbia could come together and share their best practices, ask questions, gain support, and learn to take risks, all around BC's Core Competencies.
