We are only 2 weeks away from EdCampBCCC, an EdCamp dedicated to discussing the BC Core Competencies. Things to remember : Bring your session ideas! We will be creating the session board the morning of the event based on the ideas of those present. Write down your ideas then vote for your favorites. Bring your examples! Like last year, we will be creating a Google Doc for each session so that resources, websites, etc. can be shared. Bring your education books! New this year, we will have a book exchange. Bring a book to leave on our exchange table, and leave with a new-to-you book. Here is our schedule : 8.15 am until 8.45 - Session proposals and voting, Tea and muffins available 8.45 until 9am - Welcome and Session organization 9.05 until 10.00 - Session 1 10.00 until 10.10 - Break 1 10.10 until 11.10 - Session 2 11.10 until 11.20 - Break 2 11.20 until 12.20 - Session 3 12. 25 until 12.40 pm - Closing message and Prize draw Also, #bcedchat will be hosting a live event afterwards. Keep the conversations going over food and drink. For more information and to sign up, check out this link! See you soon! EdCampBCCC team If you are anything like me, you have bookshelves full of great educational resources that have been sitting there for years. This year, at EdCampBCCC, we will have a table set up for a book swap. Bring an educational book, and take one left by someone else! Bring books that you have multiple copies of, books that you didn’t love but that someone else may, books that you won’t reread and that you don’t want back. This is an exchange, so books will not be returned to their owners. Also, we are limiting the swap to educational books - books used with students or professional development books.
Hopefully, many of you will leave with a new book that will inspire you! So, register for EdCampBCCC and get your books ready! We are happy to announce that registration is now open for our second EdCamp, focusing on the BC Core Competencies! Click on the registration tab to fill out the Google form to let us know you will be joining us.

EdCampBCCC was founded by Janice Novakowski (SD 38) and Carrie Antoniazzi (SD 93) as a place where educators from different School Districts and Educational Settings in British Columbia could come together and share their best practices, ask questions, gain support, and learn to take risks, all around BC's Core Competencies.
